Imagine having a powerhouse of creativity and community in your corner: that's Chey's role on this planet. Everywhere she goes, her energy is a dynamo powering the room. What a pleasure to guide her to wild success, and to have her share these lovely words with my partner and co-creator Steve!

~ Astra

Steve: Hi. How are you feeling?

Chey: Good. So much has been absorbed and I feel there's going to be a lot more processing after today, but it's been great.

Steve: What do you feel you're taking away from today?

Chey: I think the biggest "aha" was really just connecting a lot of dots that have been going on in the background. Now I have a much clearer picture of how all of the things I have been doing and the things that I am desiring actually marry up really nicely. I wasn't that clear on it before. I think it was one of the first exercises with the "whys" where we were really digging deep into the goal of why we want it and getting to that core. Then I realised that actually, the core is very much connected to everything I am doing, have done, have always desired, and have always enjoyed, but also the deeper themes of how much is connected to that inner child work as well. It was wow, it all makes sense. This isn't just a random thing that I want in life.

Steve: How does that experience compare to what you expected coming into today?

Chey: I honestly had no idea what to expect coming in today. I was going in blind, trusting Astra because I know they're incredible with everything they do and space holding. I came away with way more tangible tools than I was expecting. The fact that we have some really clear goals and I now have some new ideas around how I can actually put some momentum and evidencing into the things I'm already doing - to actually do them with more clarity and intentionality - is really exciting because I do really well when I have homework. So it's great.

Steve: You've learned and practised a lot of things today. Do you think you're actually going to practice what you've learned, and do you think it will make a difference for you?

Chey: 100%. I said before coming in today that this could not be coming at a better time. I really felt I was needing a session of space holding because I've been doing a lot of doing and less taking a step back to have somebody help me look at the bigger picture. This was exactly that and exactly what I needed. I'm a very action-oriented person, so if something resonates and I feel it's actually going to be supportive, I will do it. I do think the tools I got today and the clarity are really resonating with me, so I know I'll do something with that after, which is exciting.

Steve: Any reflections on Astra as a facilitator and that aspect of the session?

Chey: No notes, 10 out of 10! Astra has an amazing ability to create safe spaces, which I already knew they'd be fantastic at. Also, I'm the type of person in my friend group who is more of a challenger. I'll always challenge my friends and ask, "Is that really what you want?" and ideate with them. I feel Astra brings that strength, wisdom, and willingness to really go to the core, ask the challenging questions, and push a little bit beyond our comfort zone. I love that and I really need that as well. That was really supportive for me today. It was really cool to see how they structure the sessions, the different learning, and the storytelling that came through. It literally flew by, which says a lot about how it was facilitated and structured.

Steve: What is the biggest takeaway that you'll remember from this?

Chey: Some of the key words that came out in the different exercises are really standing out to me around belonging, home, and being a creator. That is something I'm going to carry through with me today and reflect on a bit more - how do I carry that through everything I do with more intention and really believe in it as well.
